This exhibition is the result of a workshop organized by Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves & Mathieu Merlet Briand with The Parsons Paris AMT sophomore students.
The goal was to develop a project «in, with or about» a specific site with a relationship to the internet, the limit between a «physical site» or «web site» is open.
Site-specific art is an artwork created to exist in a certain place.
Robert Smithson defines the notion of « non-site1 », he brings for example stone from a specific site to the space of the gallery.
Today the internet brings a new way to reinterpret the site-specific.
In each student’s project they had to think and create a connection, a relationship between 3 sites : a specific physical site, web site & the site of the gallery.
